From one extreme to the other!! Lol!!
Hope you've all been 'enjoying' the wonderful summer rain showers we've had today. ;) It's been absolutely foul all day here today -- the Market Place in my part of the world is flooded, we're talking sandbags and landslides -- REALLY!! I have proof ...... well, not of the landslide -- I may get that tomorrow, I don't think they'll fix it THAT quickly -- but the state of the Market Place is documented.
They've actually cordoned off the centre of the village through the creative use of vehicles, traffic cones and wheelie bins!! It's bucketed it down practically non-stop today -- there are so many flooded roads up here that we are considering declaring ourselves an independent state!! So don't be surprised if upon finding yourselves up in my neck of the woods you need to produce a passport!! Lol!! It's not been this bad since I think it was 1979?!?!? And it's STILL chucking it down!! Lol!!
It makes me wonder where all this water's come from especially as it is popular to speculate on drought conditions. Maybe the glaciers aren't melting into the ocean, but being sucked up into the sky by some strange means -- and don't give me all this scientific evaporating and condensing nonsense, it must be Aliens ...... or Giants!! ;)
Unfortunately this weather doesn't give me licence to say I can't get into work seeing as I could walk if I was that way inclined …… that said, with that there landslide it could be dangerous!! It's a whole 6 foot drop from that raised pavement!! What can I say …… it's the A1077 – a major route that runs practically all the way from Scunthorpe to Grimsby!! ;)
